Wyalusing Municipal Authority owns and operates the wastewater treatment facility within Wyalusing Borough. The existing plant was placed in operation in 1987 and discharges 100,000 gallons of treated effluent into the Susquehanna River. Since the plant has been operational for so long, the plant has undergone a much-needed renovation to expand the lifespan of the treatment facility.
